um but if you like kind of the bluesy jazzy vibe they bring uh i've always loved a side project they did called uh mad season uh with the guitarist and i think drummer of pearl jam and singer of screaming trees it's like a grunge super group yeah uh but they kind of explore more of their blues and jazz and other interesting influences adjacent to the grunge movement and oh boy they're both dying of heroin abuse so in that respect it's even sadder and yeah both of them did live short lives because of the amazing album yeah definitely check out the first Alice in Chains album if you like that there's another really dark and sinister one that's less pitiable and more menacing called Love Hate Love where it's like somebody some jealous incel-y lover person stewing on how much they love and hate someone yeah yeah and it's you know got man in the box their requisite mtv hit yep oh yeah it is

Like so many non-metalhead Gen Xers, I got into them through the Black Album.

The power ballady Bob Rock produced one.

That's a result of them going on tour with the cult and him going, you guys don't sound like you do live.
