remember burnt house
50:09
Yeah, well, it's kind of like, I just kind of have to take the good with the bad as well because, you know, like I need to realise that I was a vegetable and, you know, I still speak to so many people who are still in that condition and it's very difficult to... to just even sometimes it's just like even difficult to talk about it because I know how difficult it was for my life and then I have people who I consider friends and they still need 24 hour care and I'm in the gym doing two sessions a day and Sometimes I'm getting kind of annoyed with myself because I'm not doing X, Y and Z like I used to be able to do it.
50:55
But then I also bring myself back down to earth and go like, there was like somebody feeding you not long ago.
51:02
Somebody's showering you.
51:03
Do you know what I'm saying? That's
52:25
mean?
52:26
But, yeah, that was never, not never, but I think, like, when me ma do it, and I got more mature and stuff, that's when I started kind of being, like, more emotional, like, I remember when I was, like, a kid, like, I wasn't really emotional at all, to be honest, like, I don't want to say I was stoned, but I kind of, I didn't really ever used to get emotional, and it wasn't until my ma passed away that, I don't know, it was just something just came off of me when she passed, I don't know if it was because I was matured and as a man, and We're starting to get more emotionally intelligent at that time.
53:03
But in terms of therapy, it was just kind of useless for me because maybe it does work for other people because they don't talk about how they feel.
0:00
and it took two hours for the ambulance to come.
0:02
The ambulance eventually came and I'll never forget the guy was like, on a scale of one to 10, how bad is your pain? I'll never forget.
0:11
I looked at him dead in the eyes and I was like, I'm in 11.
0:15
The next day was so dark cause I remember just thinking, you know, your life is basically over.
0:24
And I remember I was actually talking about how dark I got the first day.
0:28
I was actually talking about going over to Switzerland to get assisted suicide.

Bring me back to the day of your accident.
5:18
The day my accident was just like any other day to be quite honest you know me and my daughter we were having breakfast together and I used to bring her to school and I believe I collected her from school that day brought her home I had a little bit of time, and then I drove to Belfast.
30:48
I'm sure you get messages all the time about people going through shit, but is there many people reaching out to you with a similar injury?
30:54
Yeah, like loads.
30:56
I get them all the time, to be honest.
30:58
I only got one there the other week.
31:02
It's devastating for me as well because I just know how... devastating it was on my life and you know i got a message off this woman and she was like oh look um does this 20 my nephew was 23 and he's had to having a bad fall and um yeah he's paralyzed from the neck down and she was kind of explaining the injury and She was saying that there's two types of spinal injuries.
31:33
It's like you can be complete or you can be incomplete.
31:37
But if you're complete, thank God I was incomplete.

where I fell at my other self.
5:23
... is astronomical, I think.
5:24
It's just like, uh, what I know is myself, I'm just way...
5:28
I'm able to move more dynamically.
5:31
Do you know what I mean? Like, I'm just, I'm not, like, as robotic.
5:34
But people don't see as well, like, I train twice a day every single day.
5:38
Like, without fail, like, I train religiously twice a day, and that's what people might not see as well.
5:44
Like, they just... 'Cause do you know what as well? I remember thinking about this a while ago, like, before this happened as well, like, me injury, I naively probably would've thought, "Ah, time just fixes everything." Do you know? And when it happened to me, I was like, "Oh my God, I couldn't have been more wrong" of how much you have to work hard to just get back to a normal life.

24 MINS LATER

30:17
Or, I'm sure you get messages all the time about people going through shit, but is there many people reaching out to you with a similar injury?
