Yeah.
18:44
Yeah, and when we implement certain things over others is usually timing.
18:49
I see patients one time a month, and at my, my new job since 2023, and I still have patients from that first year that I'm seeing, and one patient that I have in particular, it took about a year for them to realize, "I think I wanna try going to the gym." And then, "Great.
19:05
Let's, let us get you there." But that whole year prior to that moment was just us talking through these kind of breakthrough pains.
19:13
They were getting a lot of back pain from their job, so how do we make the job easier? How do we allow them to push their grandchild in stroller at the zoo? That was all just those pain management strategies for about a year, and then their life amalgamated into such a way that they had the support to go work out.
19:32
And then after a few sessions, we just said, "If you need me, I'm here, but you seem to have a good strategy for being able to manage the stuff on your own.
19:42
You're, you're getting ahead of some of these problems." It just takes that long view of things to be able to, uh, finally be able to do something different than just managing it.

11 MINS LATER

but I think that if we try to keep this episode really quite specific to the chronic pain, what would you say to someone who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, feels like they do not have any kind of strategy in place, feels like the idea of physiotherapy, physical therapy is not something that would necessarily benefit them? What would you advise them, and what would be your top line as a clinician of a recommendation for them to do?
