So maybe for those who don't know anything about Methodism in the USA, first of all, or the Global Methodist Church specifically, can you give us a big picture, maybe overview of how it came about and how it came to prominence?

So the United Methodist Church was formed in 1968.

So it's interesting.

You know, you'll hear people say, like, I've been I've been United Methodist my whole life.

Well, they haven't been because the United Methodist Church, as as Billy would have said often, was a grand experiment in religious pluralism that failed.

The idea of can we make the tent big enough for everyone to find a place under? And the problem was, of course, that the tent just expanded exponentially outside the bounds of what most would consider Christian orthodoxy, what 99, 98 percent of the world's Christians would consider Christian orthodoxy.
