Uh, tell me where you think this, this back seven is right now heading into this game against Arch and all the receivers.
2:57
Well, you mentioned the complexity, and that was kind of the narrative coming in.
3:00
It's like, hey, you know, the defense takes off in year two under Jim Knowles because it's so much to, to learn.
3:06
One thing, narrative, uh, storyline that I think is under-talked about in college football right now, Chuck, is they're practicing in the summer.
3:15
Like, you've got...
3:17
Uh, the rules have changed to where coaches can work with these guys in the summer, and that has stood out to me.
3:22
Watching Tennessee the first couple of weeks is, like, there's not really a lot of, "Eh, you know, we're feeling out, kind of learning as we go." Uh, they've had a plan, and it's pretty clear that they've been working on this new defense for a while.
6:01
Um, how are, are, is the offense looking with Ethan Davis now out for the year after the ACL?
10:21
How would you describe the coaching journey? What sort of insights do you pick up from it?
10:26
So being somebody who's naturally curious, I've always had an interest all through my career in what I would call kind of inner work rather than outer work, even as a kind of an overachiever in the sector I choose to be in at a senior level.
10:42
And so I'd already had some experience and especially, I mean, I guess that ramped up five years ago when I left BP, visited Findhorn, been to retreats in Mallorca.
10:52
What's special about Springwood? is partly the place, but it's what you've done to make it the place that it is, Giles, and your personality.
11:02
What's really helped me is you don't polarize.
11:06
I mean, a lot of, you know, you have a term, the green pluralist.
11:12
um on this journey that we're on for uh to become alchemists and strategists and and i think that's the nature of you is to hold things in balance and you are capable of holding paradoxes so when i first met you and said oh well you know i mean i i described my career in the uh energy sector in oil and gas as you know an overachiever as being something seemed a bit of a problem where you were like well what's the problem with that you know welcome to the world of being an overachievement there's nothing wrong with that so you held that in balance with okay so let's talk about what your purpose is.

5 MINS LATER

17:21
Any any one or two tips that might be helpful for others on the journey, Russell?
20:20
Yeah
20:20
... conflict.
20:20
And it made me look at what existed.
20:22
And, uh, I didn't like what I saw, which was a bunch of people shooting static drones at the time, and then a lot of big and heavy weapon systems, and then lasers and stuff.
20:32
And for me, like, I look at this like IEDs in Iraq and Afghanistan, right? It's like they're everywhere.

37 MINS LATER

57:50
[laughs] Dude, this is so funny to me.
57:52
Yeah.
57:52
All the drones are static, and then most of them don't get shot down.
10:40
So can we touch on that as our next question then about what are some of the main challenges when it comes to asset management alignment with retrofit programs?
10:49
Well, some of it is actually about the pertinence of data.
10:52
So one thing I could have added to my last response, actually, how recent is the data you've collected? The classic, of course, is EPC data.
11:04
Using the data that was collected 10 years ago, even though it's a compliant EPC, is it useful anymore? Well, no.
11:10
To a large extent, you need to be able to supplement that with the asset management data that's been collected by the landlord over time so that you can have a much better picture.
11:17
But the perfect information is obviously going into that building to have a look.
11:20
But also, let's not forget, live data coming from sensors in a building, it can't be challenged.
14:03
With that cost saving, is there any kind of almost anecdotal examples you could give? Like, is it like a fabric versus services that are in there or anything like that that you might have that you could share as an example?
26:46
know?
26:47
I think this movie was practically, or at least the way it was acted, it was practically like an animated movie.
26:52
Like how they all filmed their lines separately.
26:54
So I think if you put an animated coat over this movie, the acting seems better because we're conditioned to be, there's a certain level of acting on those movies.
27:02
Yeah.
27:03
But because it's all the faces and real people, you're like, this is dog shit.
27:06
But they don't have anybody to play off of.

13 MINS LATER

DylanHOST
40:06
Yeah, fuck all y'all.
48:26
How do you-
48:26
It's a great question.
48:27
And, uh, the, the- It's a complicated answer, and it depends on the mode the system's in.
48:32
We can ignore stuff that's flying away from us and only prioritize stuff that's coming towards us.
48:38
We can also take signals off networks they have if they know which drones are theirs.
48:43
Really, the, the common thing is that they don't actually have that kind of data, and so the operator can choose to not run it full automatic and then choose which targets.
48:52
But, um, mostly they will shoot them because of blue-on-blue risk.
48:59
Mm.
25:01
Is Faizon Brandon, based on, you know, he's just been around for a minute, but, um, is he the type of player that someone looks at and you see that sort of transformational talent at quarterback that's so obvious, and boy, he just needs some, uh, seasoning, some experience? Or is he a guy that looks like a really talented freshman that we gotta see if he develops at all?
25:25
Yeah, well, I mean, we'll, we'll have to see.
25:27
You know, I, I haven't seen him.
25:28
What we know about Faizon, y- he was the number one player in the country, uh, regardless of position, coming into the season on, uh, 247Sports.
25:38
Ended up picking up a thumb injury.
25:40
I, I think he had an opera- operation.
25:42
Didn't play in the regular season for his senior year, so he ends up dropping.
30:16
Yeah
