Margherita BarbieriGUEST
we also did like loads of beautiful work on like the props and having so much of our like physical tension put into the fork and I feel like that created this beautiful kind of warrior essence and what it means to be in recovery that it is it is a battle it is a fight this is a fork this is a weapon this is yeah it is all of those big huge things and I think it got to feel like that while still feeling very raw and real and genuine.

Ruby PhelanGUEST
Yeah, it's kind of like, I always like saying that it's almost like quite internally epic in the way that you're kind of, you know, we spoke a lot.

Ruby PhelanGUEST
And, you know, one of the phrases that are used in the film was taken from, or at least like adapted and inspired by Elizabeth I's speech at the Battle of Tilbury, where she talks about women having hearts in the stomachs of kings.

Ruby PhelanGUEST
Because when I was like, I don't know, coming to meals, I'd just be like, I'm like Elizabeth I, I have the heart and the stomach of a king, and then, you know, diving.

I mean, Portland Rose, where do we record this? Because, I mean, would we do it in Colorado? Where was it?

Ruby PhelanGUEST
We recorded that down in Lyons, Colorado at this cool spot called Animal Lane Studio.

Ruby PhelanGUEST
And we had the banjo player Travis McNamara from Tribe State Revival come and help us produce it, which was an amazing process.

Ruby PhelanGUEST
That guy is such a brilliant musician and mind when it comes to the studio and is really a big help.
