But what do you remember when you were a kid and you found out that you were going to be leaving Vietnam?

Absolutely.

I'd like to start with kind of a high level context.

I say, yeah, everything and a dollar will buy me a hamburger at McDonald's, you know, and everybody has a story and I'm just blessed to be able to share mine.

It's definitely helped shape me to who I am today.

But one day before the fall of Saigon, my mom, who was back then only 32 years old, managed to get eight out of 10 of her siblings out onto a Korean battleship that my father, who I never knew, was able to get us there.

And we ended up in a refugee camp in South Korea.
