How long are these races each day and in each leg and how many cars are there competing at any one time?

So we've got 68 cars in the event and they will do all four days.

There's two cars that are only going to compete for two days of the event.

But, yeah, so the intent is that they'll all run, but if they have any issues and pull out, by Sunday there won't be 68, probably low 60s or something.

Yeah, but it goes, like on Thursday it starts at Whiteman Park and then comes a town stage, a little 700-metre stage around Ellenbrook.

Very short, but great entertainment.

We'll have a big crowd at Ellenbrook.

In terms of the 68 drivers with their cars, are they mostly local people? Do they come from over east? Tell us a little bit about the competitors and who can we expect to be winning.

Um, so the media quickly get onto them.

And if I wasn't answering and ring the deputy and he wasn't answering and ring whoever, and everybody was on those supplementary regulations, got a phone call and I had every radio station in Australia trying to get ahold of me.

And, um, people say, we don't answer your phone.

I mean, well, Who do I know who's going to be on the other end of the phone? It could be official who's chasing me urgently.

They were pretty good.

People were trying to tell me that the media, we all see the media when disasters happen, how they operate, but that's their job and I accept it's their job and don't try and fight against it.

So I'd never met Glenn up to, didn't even know who he was, but Glenn came running into, into rally base and don't know how he got in there, but he did, but it's typical.

Glenn probably didn't stop to be told he couldn't go in there, but he came running in to see Gary to show that he had filmed the whole lot.

Um, and he was keen to make a buck out of it.

And, uh, Gary introduced me to Glenn and we just chatted as event organizers and, I'm at a laugh and, and, um, and carried on communicating from there.

And then he rang me up not long after that and said, no, there was all these good events running around the country, but none of us were talking to each other.

No, we'd met Tom Snooks had run, um, um, and well, now cams back then and run a few Clark, of course, um, training sessions, I suppose, but, um, not on a regular basis.

Is that sort of stuff getting a lot more difficult to obtain?
