But Ross, when Peter took a step back and you became front and center, did you feel a certain amount of pressure as it became your job to deliver for these people who Dad had been working with for years?
14:23
One of the things that we, I'd say the Hannon connection, we were very lucky about.
14:27
I know Richard and Peter took a slight step back, but they were always there for the transition period, which went very smoothly, which probably m- was a huge help to myself and Richard in trusting clients that had been there a long time with, with Richard Senior and Peter to work through with us.
14:41
And luckily to this day now, we still have a lot of those clients working with us, which is, I think, a great testament to the business model that Richard and Peter produced and set up together for many years.
14:53
And it seamlessly moved on to the next stage of myself and Richard.
14:57
And we did, we did put a lot of pressure on ourselves at the start 'cause they're very big shoes to fill because in comparison to Richard and Peter, they did tremendous work over the years and huge success at all levels with horses, cheap horses, mid-range horses, slightly more expensive horses.

And, uh, we helped...

Right.
13:56
So did it make a lot of sense to go out and target him as a stallion you wanted to follow?
14:03
Yeah, we're always very excited to see horses in the past, like the Maymasses, the Persian Forces, horses like that that we've been involved with buying and Richard training.
14:12
But you know how our team works, the Zales.
14:15
One thing that stands out to me that makes it a lot easier for us to get a consistency in a stallion is we have a great team.
14:24
Carl Tinkler, Patrick Kyo, Andrew Hickman, Catherine, et cetera, Peter and Anna, myself.
14:30
But what we do is we go and see every single horse, whether it's a foal sale, a breeze up sale, a yearling sale between the teams.
14:37
So you get a very good idea of what a stallion is throwing.

28:03
yeah certainly and look we're obviously a week away from from doville the first uh european major european sale and then it's just a bit of a conveyor belt isn't it and i know you're a man and your team you don't do not stop how do you how do you work with that in mind you know what is your kind of strategy at this stage you look ahead for the next three or four months coming up but you know what does that sort of look like to you do you do you go out with a certain principle for each sale or you do you have to be quite open-minded from um sale to sale
