So can you tell us a little bit more about how that will sort of function in practice and what the, what the mayor is doing to unlock these vital housing schemes?

Yeah, so I visited a scheme recently in Crayford in Bexley and it was a scheme that was submitted to the New Homes Accelerator and it faced an 18-month delay.

It had a planning consent.

It was kind of disused brownfield land that had been undeveloped for a long time and we looked at it as a team both with our national colleagues in government and as the GLA And we resolved some critical delays that had been holding it up.

So that was delays from different bits of the public sector.

We got approvals from the Environment Agency.

We supported a timely building safety regulator approval.

What has the GLA learned about the challenges that are facing the provision of housing supply and how has that informed this sort of new programme
