Ella ShermanHOST

Ronina StevensGUEST

I think a lot of companies want so much now from their staff that staff are turning around saying, actually, need to work from home because you want so many hours from me i'm not prepared to put in a long commute on top of this and i think it's fair enough for employees to be pushing back what do you think dr renina well i'm going to start with

Ronina StevensGUEST
the positives of the commute but obviously this really depends where you where you live and what your commute looks like so psychologically a commute creates a transition So you're going from home, you start to let go of the stuff that's at home and you start to think about your day and plan.

Ronina StevensGUEST
It can give you a little bit of personal space, but again, that depends on whether you're in London on a trip like that or what it's like.

Ronina StevensGUEST
Some people are listening to podcasts, some people are reading on the train and things like that.

Ronina StevensGUEST
It can create a separation between work and home that can be helpful for some people.

So Dr. Ranina, are remote workers happier or more isolated? Has it created more work-life balance or socially disconnected employees?
