Oct 19, 2026

9:21
And we support them the best we can in our partnership with But what we're doing is focused on downtown living.
9:29
Beautiful.
9:29
Right.
9:30
And then speaking of the six main apartments, you know, that property has a 200-year history.
9:36
It's been an interesting corner there at six in Maine.
9:38
It started as a coal storage site when Richmond was first a city, then a tin shop, then a sporting goods store, then a major department store.
9:47
And now as you see the beautiful new property we see today there called the six main apartments, So the long story and history of this area will not have a new chapter about to open that will serve our community for generations to come.
11:07
Wow.
0:31
So what does a typical day as mayor really look like?
0:36
That's a great question because there really is no typical day.
0:38
There are some meetings and events that are recurring.
0:42
For example, we have common council meetings the first and third Monday of every month.
0:46
Prior to that, we have some committee meetings leading up to that.
0:49
We have, I've established when we became mayor in 2024, monthly department heads meeting the first Monday of the month.
0:57
We get together and collaborate and it's set up a really good culture that all the department heads are working together, communicating together, So that's going really well.
4:46
You are trying to set up success for Richmond for future years to come as well.
1:30
Mayor, would you like to kind of tell us a little bit about what was inside? Sure.
1:34
Yes, and how we got here.
1:35
So earlier this spring, we were at staff.
1:37
We were walking around City Hall, and we were looking at stuff and planning what we're going to do this spring.
1:42
And I said, oh, by the way, you see this plaque over my shoulder? By the way, we're supposed to open the Bicentennial time capsule on July 4th of 2026.
1:51
That's this year.
1:54
So we need to figure out how to get that thing out of the ground and open it.
6:18
So you would have to sit there and wait.
