Robin SchoolingGUEST
I think that, and I've talked about this for a long time, I think we in HR have always had this identity crisis.

Robin SchoolingGUEST
And its root cause is really the fact that we have let other people define HR for us instead of defining it ourselves.

Robin SchoolingGUEST
We've let The CEOs, the business owners, department heads, whatever, other people, pundits out in the world, identify what HR is instead of us going into an organization and saying, this is who we are, this is what we can do, this is how we add value.

Robin SchoolingGUEST
And that starts at the individual level for each individual practitioner in HR and talent and recruiting and in any subset of sort of this people business.

Robin SchoolingGUEST
We have to define our, why are we here? And so because we have sort of abdicated that, we've let other people define us.

Robin SchoolingGUEST
And we see that when we see who gets hired into HR sometimes in our organizations.
