So what are your overall thoughts about how hard is it to hold on to the majority when you're the party in power in a midterm election?
8:16
Well, when you're the party in power in the midterm election, and certainly in the second term of a presidency, it's really, really pronounced.
8:28
And so this is not a second consecutive term for Trump, but it is his second term.
8:33
And then it is especially difficult.
8:36
And it's just because America likes, you know, I think the American people just likes change and it's easy to, you know, we have a lot of problems in this country, but this country has come through a lot of problems and we've done very, very well.
8:49
I mean, I think it's hard for people to compare the way things were, you know, two and a half years ago in the Biden presidency.
9:00
We had nine and a half percent inflation.

23 MINS LATER

32:25
Do you think that's right?
9:12
And then I asked myself, Robert, why now? What's going on exactly in the world? What was your reaction when you seen that story, sir?
9:21
So my initial reaction when I read that was, you know, first of all, I'm happy that they're thinking about this, but it's also very, very concerning that our grid is this vulnerable.
9:37
And so, and it is, you know, we...
9:40
We learn a lot by looking at how other people fight wars.
9:46
And so we're learning a lot by seeing how Ukraine is prosecuting this war in Russia, how Israel fights against its many enemies that it's surrounded by.
9:58
We learn a lot by those.
9:59
And so what we're learning is that we're looking at these drones We're looking at how a power that should not be, you know, Russia should have destroyed Ukraine a long time ago based on the military prowess and the number of troops they have.

33 MINS LATER

43:46
Go ahead.
3:21
So I launch off to you and say, just talk, if you would, please, about why it is so important to hold on to the majority in Washington because of what happens with the census.
3:32
You know, I think it, it's a, it's an issue that goes un- unnoticed by many Republicans and many conservatives.
3:39
We don't talk about it enough.
3:40
We don't talk about the census.
3:41
We don't talk about redistricting enough.
3:43
We've started talking about that now, but the Democrats have been having these conversations for the last 40 years.
3:49
They've been talking about this.

8 MINS LATER

12:06
So very quickly if you would, 'cause you have been eloquent about it so many times, the shift between the two parties, the, the direction of the Democrats versus Republicans, I mean, I, I assume, don't you see that as just a compelling issue all by itself in this election cycle?
27:49
And I'd love any com- comments you wanna offer.
27:53
Well, I think it's great.
27:54
I mean, she, um, showed a lot of courage.
27:56
Well, I mean, she was doing her job, and so it really, you know, didn't take a n- a huge amount of courage.
28:01
She's shown a lot of courage in fighting back and making sure that people understand that, that this took place.
28:06
And I think it's a, it's a, it's a small example in a small community that really, um, uh, obviously causes concern, you know, that this could happen on a national level.
28:16
And so it, it's, um, it's something that we really have to look into.

6 MINS LATER

34:16
But, I mean, I'm, I, I'm actually really impressed by what Trump is doing, and I don't know if you have any thoughts about that, Robin.
