For people who haven't maybe discovered the Molo Murder Club, can you describe what they're about? What's the unique charm about them?

Well...

It wouldn't be for me to say what the unique charm is because that seems a little pompous.

However, what I like in a murder mystery, so I grew up reading Agatha Christie and obsessively, you know, and when I created Death in Paradise, that was very much me trying to write an Agatha Christie style, golden age, fair play murder mystery.

And for me, in every story that I've written through television and also through nine novels, nine murder mysteries, I always want it to be fair play.

You know, I want it so that when the eureka moment happens and the detective, whoever they are, says, I think I know who the killer is, you should be able to close the book at that point or press pause on your telly and then sort of go, oh, I've got the same clues as the detective.

It's not going to be the end of the series though, is it?

And this one, you've written the novels, but it's also gone into become a TV series.
