But beyond that, if you can share, you know, what is the sardine fast? Why did you do it, and how you did it?
4:02
Yeah, yeah.
4:02
So I, um, I'm a big advocate for the keto carnivore community.
4:05
I've been following a ketogenic diet now for 11, 12 years.
4:09
I'm all for eating this way.
4:11
However, there is a lot of frustrations I have in the space when people...
4:17
And it's not, like, to any fault of their own.

26:08
But how would you do it then?
16:13
factors such as nutrition such as mindset such as strength training and movement and um you know focusing on on prioritizing sleep and stress management and stuff like that i'm wondering if you could you know share some of these important elements that you guide people through whether that is a competitive bodybuilder or you know that 67 year old grandma that you mentioned
16:37
yeah so like my savage system i've got an online course i do the one-on-one coaching but like i've got seven phases basically and it's not so much seven phases in the terms of like you know philosophical pillars it's more like specific phases that determine you know baseline starting positions what their macro distribution should be how to peak properly for a finite you know span to optimize health for that window of time how to reverse diet out of that things of that nature so it's very nuts and bolts uh tactics and strategy with regards to body composition specifically and we can totally dive into that as far as like overarching philosophical pillars or themes it's funny because i've had you know i've recorded over 900 podcast episodes with all kinds of top biohackers and doctors and things of that nature and And we like to spend money and focus on all the well-marketed biohacks, all the supplements, all the red light therapies, all of the light therapies.
17:33
And when I talk to these people, what becomes increasingly evident is the fact that the real cure, the real solution, the real progress is made when we simply return to the basics.
17:45
And this is true across the board.
17:47
Like you said, looking at the sun in the morning, we used to do that by default as a species every single day, whether we wanted to or not.
17:53
We have the luxury to avoid the sun now.
17:56
We didn't used to have that.

26:08
So like, how do you find that balance or, you know, either whether it's for yourself or just from your understanding and working with clients to, you know, weigh what is the priority and achieve that balance, especially when there's maybe competing demands?
3:35
Tell me everything.
3:38
Yeah, well, it didn't start out the way by any means.
3:40
I mean, I had gone down a very different path from the onset.
3:43
Like I went down the typical, you know, go to school.
3:46
My parents are both incredibly intelligent academics.
3:49
My dad's a professor.
3:50
My mom's in the nursing field and they both retired now.

27 MINS LATER

30:25
What made you decide to go the route of writing a
3:35
Tell me everything.
3:38
Yeah.
3:38
Well, it didn't start out that way by any means.
3:40
I mean, I, um, I had gone down a very different path from the onset.
3:43
Like I went down the typical, you know, go to school.
3:46
My, my parents are both incredibly intelligent academics.
3:49
Um, my dad's a professor, my mom's in the nursing field, and they're both retired now.

11 MINS LATER

14:40
So, uh, I, can you talk t- about that? What happened there?
29:04
He, and he was saying if you're just not, like you're just not getting yourself enough time to actually get strong again and recondition your body to use a different fuel source.
29:12
Yeah, I think it takes a lot more time than people would like to think it does 'cause every- and we live in this quick fix mentality society.
29:18
You know, everybody wants something now.
29:20
They wanna lose weight now.
29:21
They don't really...
29:21
Like building muscle in of itself takes a long time.
29:23
So to be able to reach the level of fat adaptation in which your body's efficiently, you know, preserving your stored muscle glycogen, replenishing muscle glycogen and building more muscle tissue in the absence of carbohydrates when you've been consuming carbohydrates the vast majority of your life is gonna take more than a few weeks.
30:38
Mm.
