10:17
Is that how you view things?
10:20
Well, I think it's critically important that we revisit this whole idea of why we have these weapons.
10:29
Right now, the most recent nuclear posture review, I guess it's called, which comes out, I think, every four years at least, but maybe more often, the Defense Department puts nuclear weapons at the very foundation of our national security protection.
11:00
And that to me is something I think we need to rethink, that because this concept of nuclear deterrence commonly known as MAD, Mutually Assured Destruction, whereby if we maintain a superior nuclear force, other nations with nuclear weapons would not attack us with their nuclear weapons because of the consequences or potential consequences of doing so.
11:46
But if that deterrence or fear of other nations, fear of our attacking other nations is the basis for our national security, then what if deterrence fails? In other words, what if another nation or, let's say, some rogue actor like, well, some violent group gets a hold of a nuclear weapon and uses it against us.
12:21
If deterrence fails, the only alternative is to retaliate, and that's the way we've set everything up.
12:30
And by retaliating, we would be initiating a nuclear war where there would be no winners of a nuclear war, obviously.

19:57
I didn't mean to go off on a tangent, but you see what I'm saying?
6:07
Can you tell us about that?
6:10
Right.
6:11
Yeah.
6:12
Well, we'll talk about the evening of March 24th.
6:15
We were able to finally nail down that date.
6:21
I was in command of the capsule and the missiles at the time.
6:28
My commander, there were just two of us down there in the capsule, and the capsule was about 60 feet underground.

35 MINS LATER

41:19
Isn't that the sort of the, the idea?
63:34
... moving in the right direction? [laughs]
63:36
[laughs] Uh, I like, I like the fact that the government is involved in, uh, releasing information.
63:46
One of the documents that they did release was, um, what's called a, um, uh, um, uh, let's see, NORAD memo, uh, about incidents in 1975 of UFO encounters over nuclear weapons missile facilities, and some in Montana, um, in, in September, October of 1975.
64:20
So that is an official record of the fact that, of these sightings.
64:27
They don't go into any real detail like I have, but, um, it is something.
64:33
Now, um, they, uh, haven't given us what we're all looking for, and that is conclusions that yes, various agencies have been studying this, uh, with recovered craft, with recovered bodies, um, and here are some of the results.
64:56
Uh, that's what we would really like to see [laughs] to blow this thing wide open.

8 MINS LATER

73:24
Yeah.
40:26
Tell me what happened that night.
40:28
I got a phone call from the top side guard.
40:30
He's screaming into the phone.
40:31
I mean, he's really frightened.
40:35
And he said, "I've got all the guards out here, weapons drawn, and we see this gigantic red, orange object, oval-shaped, hovering above the front gate." And all of a sudden we get klaxons, horns.
40:51
Both look over at the control panel here, and boom, boom, boom, one right after the other.
40:57
All no-go.
41:24
And then was there a debriefing or was there a discussion?
56:25
Now, also, wasn't there some sort of investigation that went down right after that where Boeing came in, you said? Okay.
56:34
So one of the documents we got said – was from SAC headquarters.
56:42
It was a telegram.
56:45
And it said we've got to find out what caused these missiles to go down because – We don't know, and this is of grave concern, right? This is the very basis of our national security, these nuclear weapons.
56:59
So he asked by name that Boeing get involved.
57:06
Boeing had the overall contract on the Minuteman system.
57:10
They were the top-level contractor, and they assigned people to look into this.
