Uh, the activities have started long, long, long, long before that.

Uh, but it's, it, yeah, it was driven and is driven by the need of organizations and individuals in the, uh, to establish some model-based engineering environment, platform, exchange ideas, software in that, uh, arena around digital threading, uh, for example, as, as Chris mentioned.

And, uh, uh, OpenSysML is, uh, addressing that, let's say, the, the SysML V2 part.

Uh, and I think it fits well in the, in the NumFOCUS umbrella because NumFOCUS is, is a, is the, uh, host organization that hosts, uh, OpenMBE as a sponsored project alongside with, with other projects and languages like, like Julia and, and, and, and different Python, very popular Python libraries.

And with SysML V2, we actually have now a, a model-based engineering language, I think that fits well into engineering languages as, as such and under the NumFOCUS, NumFOCUS umbrella.

So I think we are on a, on a really good track here.
