Okay, and what happens at 1.5 degrees?

Well, there's basically two types of things that we worry about.

So first off, every degree of global warming causes changes that we see in the planet, right? You know, your listeners and you yourself have probably seen some of the changes already, right? You know, winters are shorter.

There's less snow.

We seem to be getting more extreme weather.

And so those are changes that kind of scale with every single degree.

So every time the planet gets a little bit warmer, for instance, for every degree the planet warms, storms get about 7% more intense.

The question is, is there really anything we can do about it?

Okay, and what happens at one and a half degrees?

Well, so there's basically two types of things that we worry about.

And so those are changes that kind of scale with every single degree.

So every time the planet gets a little bit warmer, for instance, for every degree the planet warms, storms get about 7% more intense, right? So every time the planet warms, weather gets a little bit more extreme, winters get a little bit shorter, we see all these impacts.

There's a second set of impacts that we're really worried about, where certain thresholds will be crossed, where the world won't go back the way it was before.

And so a lot of these are related to different ecosystems.

The question is, is there really anything we can do about it?
