[upbeat music] Let's read the word.

Psalm 127:1.

Psalm 127:1, "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.

Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

It is a vain thing that you rise up early and go to bed, uh, l- late, eating the bread of anxious toil; for He gives to His beloved sleep." But not during the pastor's message, amen.

[laughs] Proverbs 24:3.

Yeah.

To be honest with you, af- after having been a pastor now for over 40 years, I'm finally understanding why the Lord had me learn how to build fireplaces.

Let's open our Bibles to the book of Psalms.

Psalm chapter 41.

And we're going to read from verse 7 to verse 13.

And I'm reading out of the English Standard.
