I mean, what have you made of the opening month to the season?

Yeah, I think it's been really underwhelming, Jack.

I don't think there's any getting around that.

Obviously, the win over Woking on Saturday was a much-needed three points.

I don't think it was by any means a vintage pool's performance, and that is probably the thing that concerns me the most.

You are inevitably going to lose games of football.

I do think if you look at the fixtures, without wanting to be disrespectful to the teams that pools have won, played you would have said that they've had a pretty favorable start to the season in terms of those fixtures but they haven't really made the most of it whatsoever The level of performance, I think, given the calibre of player that Pools were able to recruit over the summer, has been very, very underwhelming in my opinion.

Is there anywhere else you'd like to see us recruit or do you think we're there or thereabouts?
