I was only 16 when I wrote Ice Ice Baby, man, and then, you know, not even a year later, they say, "Do you wanna be, you know, in the Ninja Turtles movie?" [laughs] I said, "Yes." And, uh, I would've paid them, and they paid me.

The great thing is, is that, you know, uh, I have so many great memories of America and what made me.

And, and I've always been patriotic.

when did you realize, "Oh, this isn't just a song that is gonna do well and help build my career, but little kids like Buck Sexton at age whatever are gonna be with their friends trying to do the Vanilla Ice dance moves in the courtyard of their school all across America, all 50 states"? Like, give me both of those moments, if you would.
