Uh, he, he saw something in the Y and said, "I want a Y in my community," and donated an extraordinarily large amount of money, and got people to be part of this fundraising campaign so we could build the Stanwood Y, and went above and beyond.

And he and his lovely wife, um, made it possible for the Stanwood Y to happen, and then continued to donate to the Every Y campaign and so on.

You'll see his name in many places around the Y. Um, he has a great quote that says, uh, "Philanthropy is sweetness to the soul." Mm-hmm.

That's a legit thing.
