How daunting was it for you to change careers, move into consulting, you know, after all those years being on TV?
2:42
Well, I'll tell you, when the business was great, when revenues were higher and budgets were bigger and we could go cover the news the way that I loved it, I always loved having a front row seat to history.
2:53
So being the anchor, you stay in the studio most of the time, but getting to go out on the road and cover big stories was always my favorite part.
3:01
And all of a sudden, there are financial considerations to worry about the recession and 08 hits.
3:08
And I don't think the industry fully came back from it then.
3:12
And all of a sudden, travel starts to diminish a little bit.
3:14
And I would just say learning the truth and being a paid observer for people who can't go interview the president or the mayor or whoever it is, that was always a lot of fun.
6:36
So this, you know, switching to what you are now doing, what do you focus on at Rob Johnson Communications from a service standpoint? And I want people to know, how are we at the Goldman Group a good fit for you? Because if you look at you on the cover of it, all the history of what you've done and all your experience, why would you think a Goldman Group, as we're launching this brand, first being an established brand, why are we a good fit for where you're at now and where your company is going?
4:00
But what originally sparked your passion originally to really go down the journalism path in communications?
4:07
Well, I think I don't want to go way back, but I went to DePaul University in Greencastle, Indiana.
4:13
And my dad, growing up, my dad was a, you know, he got his, he was an accountant.
4:18
He was a CPA.
4:20
He got his JD.
4:21
He was an attorney.
4:22
He'd got, we lived in Brussels, Belgium for five years when I was in my teen years.

right? From the work that you do, and when we think about the dynamics of effective, impactful communication, where do you see AI coming into this picture? Do we need to be thinking differently? What do you see going forward there?
