Bonus: The importance of trade with Canada and Mexico to agriculture, future of GLP1's
J
0:26Joanna GuzaHOST
Now, Rob, I'd like you to answer this question first, and then Corey, if you could add, what topics are you keeping an eye on that will have a positive and or negative impact on agriculture?
R
0:36Rob FoxGUEST
What am I looking at this year? A couple of things, probably the biggest one is the, the negotiation with the U S Mexico, Canada free trade agreement.
R
0:47Rob FoxGUEST
Since the inception of that, you know, originally it was called NAFTA and it was slightly altered.
R
0:53Rob FoxGUEST
Now it's called USMCA, but since the inception of that, roughly 25, 30 years ago, U S ag exports to those two combined markets.
Food inflation, higher input costs, beef demand and the impact of the AI buildout headline CoBank's latest report
R
3:27Rob FoxGUEST
Looking at the food space and the agricultural markets and what caught my eye around this time was that I noticed food inflation had started to pick up again.
R
3:42Rob FoxGUEST
It never came down to where it was a few years ago, but at least it stopped going up.
R
3:58Rob FoxGUEST
And I knew this was probably going to be, as food inflation started to pick up a bit, it would certainly be in the news.

Now what? What items or questions should people within the agricultural industry be asking about or asking themselves?
Do Trump's constant insults to Britain's Armed Forces show the NATO alliance is at an end?

Iain DaleHOST
Um, uh, is it an exaggeration to say that the whole of the NATO alliance is now in real danger?
Robert FoxGUEST
I think what we have to watch here is the game of misdirection, and I think even Trump and Hegseth in their way in, uh, black circumstances could apply to join the magic circle for misdirection, because we have to ask them-- ourselves, why are they saying this? Why are they being so crass? Because slagging off allies doesn't encourage them to come to their aid.
Robert FoxGUEST
Take, uh, Peel Hunt, bankers in the city of London, they have warned today that Trump is losing control of his war.
Iain DaleHOST
Uh, we've got to be very careful about not throwing the baby out with the bathwater, haven't we?
What weird phobia do you have?

I think they've got very, very worried about the resurgence globally of IS, ISL, you name it.
Robert FoxGUEST
Um, and the problem with Africa, and really Trump didn't want to focus on Africa, you can see that from his national security strategy, but he's forced to because there is so much awful phrase, you know, buzzword, and pick me up for using it because I'm trying to think of a better expression, it's ungoverned space.
Robert FoxGUEST
Go, move west, move through the, uh, Sub-Saharan belt and rightly, you focused on the war, uh, between Rwanda, on the borders of Rwanda and, and Congo.
Robert FoxGUEST
And this is getting really serious in that it allows a free play area, uh, for, for these groups.
Robert FoxGUEST
Uh, it's interesting that Trump has operated in using central command to do this because they, uh, it's one of the smallest of the US commands and it's not a main focus, but I think it points to the next quarter century to come.
Iain DaleHOST
What- why has the Nigerian government failed to be able to control ISIS within its borders?

I know it isn't MVC, but if you grew up with MVC 1, 2, 3, like it carries over.

And when you're playing a fighting game, like things need to be smooth, like buttons and moves and ca-...
R

I had no problems jumping in the game, like move, doing moves, pulling off cool combos, like absolutely loved it.

So the producer came by and was like, "Mm, the difficulty is set too high on the CPU.
