10:03
So anyway, Rob, how'd you do it?
10:05
Well, you, you kinda summed it up perfectly, really.
10:07
[laughs] Yeah, uh, you're right that it absolutely, it was, it was a trend that we were seeing, and we're very passionate about our wine and about the quality that we produce with everything we do.
10:17
But we equally love to try things and innovate and, and ultimately, the, the consumer is, you know, they're the king.
10:25
So if they're, if they're doing this, then why not, you know, create something that, that meets their needs? So that was, that was the origin of that, and it was a bit of fun.
10:32
Um, it occurred to me that actually, yeah, the, the jalapeno and sauvignon blanc is not as nuts as it sounds.
10:39
And back in the '80s and '90s when New Zealand sauvignon blanc, when Marlborough sauvignon blanc, you know, was sort of gaining fame and, and, and growing internationally very fast, the wines that we were producing back then were very, very green, very herbaceous, um, full of methoxypyrazines.

11 MINS LATER

Going back a little bit then, just wine industry in general, is there one thing or a few things that you guys think the wine industry needs right now? I mean, I don't need to list the challenges and everything that are, are happening, but what do you think the industry needs right now?
8:33
Well, all
8:34
I would say is that, you know, I mean, I do remember...
8:39
Back in the mists of time at school, learning about the Battle of White Mountain, and the humble schoolchild does imagine, if you call a battle the Battle of White Mountain, you imagine something out of the Lord of the Rings, you know, huge.
8:54
Mountain in the distance and kings and armies fighting over it.
8:58
And so it is with some disappointment, Veet, when you first visit Prague and get on the number 22 and take the tram all the way to the end and get off and go to Bila Hora or White Mountain to realize that it is not a mountain.
9:13
It's not a mountain at all.
9:14
As you said, I think it is not even a hillock.
11:14
Since the 1920s, I think it became part of Prague 6 now.
9:31
conflict.
9:32
I'd love to know how you would have gotten from England to Prague in the 15th century.
9:39
That must have been a fascinating journey, but unfortunately one that we have no time to go into today.
9:44
But so these ideas then, they're circulating and they're being debated passionately amongst scholars and students and so on.
9:52
But at some point, I suppose they have to move beyond the university.
9:57
How do they actually reach Ordinary people, the man in the street, the man in the inn.
10:03
And what do they begin to demand in practice?
13:37
by 1419, you have Prague, you have a city where belief, power and social tensions are completely intertwined and a place where people genuinely feel that everything is at stake.
