He-- One day Claire came into the kitchen, and she h- was holding open a letter, and she said, "Oh, my God." I thought, "What is it?" And it was a letter from Barry.

He'd read me, uh, mentioning him in an interview, and he wrote me a lovely letter.

And then I ran into him.

So I wrote back to him.

And every moment was a pinch me moment?

Um, let's just say that, right? Um, so yes, I would watch all sorts of people.

I always had a very wide taste in comedy, so from the very popular, popular stuff like Bruce Forsyth, watching what he did, and then the slightly more, uh, trendy stuff like Peter Cook and Dudley Moore.

Barry Humphries has always been a, a huge sort of hero of mine.

Um, but loads, loads of comedians.

when you started out, and now isn't.

And I've seen, with her going, all these clips.

I saw a clip of her from 1976 singing That's the Way I Like It, uh-huh, uh-huh, with KC and the Sunshine Band.

And is there, is there gardening beyond that, or do you kind of scratch the gardening itch once a year here?

... subconsciously, not consciously.

I, you know, I, I just liked, always liked making people smile or laugh by... had an ability to do voices, and of course, not everybody can.

And when you can, you forget.

Like, not everybody can sing.

Not everybody can make their voice do silly things and sound like somebody else, but I was always able to do that.

So, wow, how lucky, you know.
