How did you experience and see all of that from that perspective? And when did you start to believe that Russia would actually do it?

So you have to put it in perspective.

On the one hand, we were basically at the end of, almost at the end of 20, when I arrived, of 20 years in Afghanistan.

And that was also basically the end of expeditionary operations.

The wars of choice, so to say.

The wars where we decided where we wanted to participate.

So that was the start of my time in the NATO headquarters.

Are you worried that we're maybe a little bit too soft and maybe a bit too selfish to actually realistically prepare for that eventuality?

So, Admiral, who, who is right on this? When you look at the landscape right now, are there Russian and Chinese warships all around Greenland, as President Trump says?

I hope you understand that, uh, since I left NATO, I, I'm not privy to, uh, any longer, to intelligence as I, as I was in that, uh, in that job.

So I, I can't, uh, compete with the people in, in office, both in Denmark and, uh, and, and the United States.

But what I do know is that the Russians, uh, are allowing the Chinese [chuckles] to enter their waters, and, uh, they are doing this, uh, for a couple of years already.

They have, uh, combined air patrols with long-range reconnaissance, uh, aircraft from, uh, from both, uh, air forces, uh, uh, Russian and Chinese.

They operate together with their coast guards, and this is not just to study polar bears, as General Gurkinovich, the Supreme Allied Commander of Europe said, this is to prepare militarily as well.

So this is preparing the grounds.

So as I'm hear you saying there's a growing threat, and there could be a threat, a growing threat against Greenland, would Article 5 protections extended from Denmark, which is a NATO ally, would those not be enough to protect Greenland, or do you support President Trump's argument that it needs to be under US control to be adequately protected?
