We're not just taking straight garden soil and throwing that into the wicking bed, are we?
15:30
I think it depends on where and the quality of your topsoil.
15:34
So on an urban property... depending upon the age and when it was built and kind of what your local land use bylaw stipulates for builders will depend on what you're putting in there.
15:46
And what I mean by that is like when somebody builds a tract house out here, at least in Calgary, It's different in Okotoks, interestingly enough.
15:53
In Okotoks, it's pretty cool.
15:54
They'll actually strip the lot deeper, and then they bring back a foot of topsoil, which is really uncommon in urban development.
16:03
And this creates completely drought-proof lawns.

27:54
So talk to us about that.
14:48
Is it too late?
14:49
It's bad, but, um, there's a few things that I think are important to know.
14:55
And, and so that, that is like, there's so much that we don't know as a species about this planet, about our ecosystems, about, um, about everything.
15:06
Like science actually is not, it's, it's the art of, of, um, You never actually know anything through science.
15:13
You just kind of reduce the unknown a little bit.
15:19
It's like a negative form of learning almost in a way.
15:22
Not negative as in it's bad, but like we just kind of strip away the unknowns, but we never actually fully know.
