Is it the creative you these days? Like, is it part of your creative process?

It's always been.

I did in for 15 years, the book basically titled 15 Years Chelsea Hotel, which was basically, I love the idea of having neighbors and meeting them and seeing how they live.

And so I got really fascinated with that idea that everybody had a different space.

And the spaces were, in most situations, very coherent with who the people living there were.

So it was not like the standard, you know, apartment.

Was that always the case or did you evolve into spending more time there as your career matured and publishing there? Was it intentional, opportunistic? Talk to me a little bit about your personal and professional relationship with Portugal.
