they're they're that large and then they end up blowing on shore and frequently in areas that are that are downwind so it's a very frequent large-scale problem in the summer and fall on many of the lakes So over seven years, we've done a lot of investigative work on this foam to figure out what's forming it and what harmful compounds might be in there.

And what we found is that it's loaded with biopolymers.

So these are long chains of biologically produced compounds And specifically, we found polysaccharides, which are long chains of sugars.

We've done fatty acid analysis, which is very consistent with a very primitive algal life form, kind of like microcystic cyanobacteria.

We've done carbon isotope work, Fourier transform, infrared spectroscopy.

We've really thrown the book at this because it's such a complex mixture.

So what made you and Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association first look at PFAS foam in the first place and what came back from that testing? Can you walk us through some of the numbers and anything that might have surprised you?

Just make sure you swap arms so you don't have one big arm.

Okay.

No, I don't say whoa.

I don't try to prevent the wreck.

I train for the wreck.

And if I walk up there and if they want to rear back and bust out there, let them bust out there, then we can correct them.

Now, when we're talking about using that e-collar and training, 99% of the time, we're hopefully on level one.

What I mean, whether it's breeds or a particular breed, or, I mean, do you have something that stands out and you're like, Oh my God, Rick, you got to

When, when it does get rainy and there is, there are rain delays, what, what's the protocol that goes into place to kind of ensure that, you know, everything is correctly, you know, followed?

It's really hard because I think, you know, rain at a glass court tournament is both unpredictable and there's so many factors that play into that.

Clearly, you know, the later in the week you are, you've got a lot more scope.

If you've got through a lot of matches early in the week that you can actually just sit, wait and watch and see what happens.

Start of the week you've gotta be much more dynamic.

You've gotta be prepared ultimately to go indoors because with the number of matches you've gotta get through in qualifying rounds and the early rounds, um, if you don't get through those, you can end up with a real bottleneck at the end of the week.

And if you don't get then improved weather towards the end of the week, you have no ability to clear that.

How important is that for the, for the community as well?
