Tell us a little bit about how that transpired.
8:04
Yeah, so about a year after I'd left, uh, Serenity House, I got a call from, um, the lady at-- who had been my counselor at Serenity House, and she said that the CEO, uh, wanted to meet with me.
8:16
And so, um, I went and, uh, met with him.
8:21
And he told me that he, he knew a little bit about my story.
8:25
He knew where, uh, where I lived and he, he knew some details about my life.
8:31
And, um, he said that he needed somebody to s- tell the Serenity House story, uh, to the outside world.
8:42
So being in Abilene, and Serenity also had a facility in Fredericksburg, Texas, as you know, um, but they never had anybody that had gone out and actually represented the program, uh, to tell the story of the great work that was being done at Serenity House.

did that situation affect your recovery anyway emotionally spiritually like how did you
31:59
good question um it put a lot of pressure on my uh my emotional state of mind psychologically there were some challenges um i went through a lot of uh relationship challenges shared a lot of tears um and um So it's a beautiful story, but it's also a painful story.
32:23
It's also...
32:25
It could be an ugly and messy story, but...
32:29
You know, so is life.
32:32
And this was not something that I was expecting in life, especially at this stage of my life.
32:41
I was not looking for a son and he was not looking for a father.
