So you did your five years at Catlin, XL Catlin, XXL, as it quickly became.
6:24
Yeah, and then I got the opportunity to move to Tokyo Marine HCC, working in their London Market division, which for them was their property, marine and energy treaty, and a few other lines of business.

And I guess it was the additional breadth made it really interesting.
6:43
So it was insurance and reinsurance across multiple classes, still predominantly property damage, but working instead of with... uh maybe three or four marine teams working with you know maybe 11 or more teams of different underwriters with different approaches and different needs whilst also building and growing a pricing function there so i was the kind of sole pricing actuary in that team focused purely on pricing and we knew we needed more pricing resource to grow and so built that team up to four or five people over a few years

how do you see the pricing world developing in the next five years or so?
9:07
I think the continued pricing transformation and digitization is gonna, you know, this has been in the pipeline for years, but you know, better, more granular, more structured data will kind of improve pricing sophistication and the kind of analysis that we can do that we've always wanted to do, but always took lots of manual kind of manipulation data entry.
9:35
I think data ingestion, so kind of augmented by AI, is going to accelerate that as well.
9:40
We can capture things that even the underwriters aren't interested in, but that might be significant when we do analysis further down the line.
