So did you ever figure out how the song was chosen?

This is the funny part of this story.

Our singer, Marty Lloyd, who founded the band, he and I joke around.

I'll send him a text that says, you're never going to believe this, and then something crazy comes up.

But one morning, I wake up, and I open the Freddie Jones Band Instagram, and there is a message from Astro Reed, right? And it says, love the new version of In a Daydream.

And I look.

I thought we were being catfished.

And I guess, have you done some mentoring of other bands, too?

of the last 35 years of my career this is just way too much fun now the neat thing is it's not all about nostalgia you guys are actively creating and and putting new music together and almost with a music city kind of flair right

Yeah, I mean, we decided in 2020, the band had been a little bit of like a nostalgic band, I guess.

And when we started playing again 11 years ago and really hitting it.

But, you know, Never Change album came out.

Marty spent four years working on that.

And then when we decided to kind of get the band going and.

We went out.

This is the first time I've heard that it was a completely made up story.
