What sort of ideas are there that could bring medical service back to places like Audrain County?

Unfortunately, everything that I've looked at, I think, is a monumental task to get medical services back to Audrain County.

And the reason being is, once they lost the hospital, they lost all the grandfather clauses on the building.

And so, to get all the grandfather clauses, basically, you would need to build a new building.

So...

The first thing that I would do about just rural medicine in general, not Audrain County medicine, is I would want to pass something that stated that the county could step in and operate the facility under the license that the company that's going bankrupt is going to.

And so if we were able to do that, that would have gave us...

But what do you think is something that needs to be done on the state level in regards to that?
