we're both.
22:02
I know.
22:02
I know.
22:02
I'm going to back up just a little bit.
22:04
So between the time I turned myself in and I went through the whole process and we would be here for five hours if we talked about that.
22:12
But I was forced to take some therapy and I had done some because I was like, before I turned myself in, I'm thinking, okay, maybe I just need to get help, but I was not in it fully.
22:24
And I would pick therapists that I can be very persuasive.

Or they didn't get their treat.
5:33
Mm-hmm.
5:34
Um, also, my mom did the same.
5:36
It's just like I said, you know, handling things with kit gloves and walking around with, um, you know, basically catering to his needs and his needs only.
5:49
I just thought that that's how our family was, but looking back now, I know that that is something that really molded who I was as well.
5:57
And, um, very difficult situation to be in, and didn't realize it was difficult at the time, but now looking back and seeing that, I know it was.
6:07
And then when I was, um- B- in my preteens, um, I suffered a sexual assault, um, at the hands of some boys that lived in my community.
6:16

You know, we talk about attachment and attachment is something that develops from very early on in life, but For you, tell us a little bit about was there anything in your early life experiences or when you were younger or even earlier on in your adulthood that has kind of led you down the path that you're on today and to the work that you're doing today? Tell us a bit about your story.
4:05
Sure, Kirstie.
4:08
I guess I... have so many things that have, you know, led me to where I am today.
4:16
And for your listeners and, you know, with attachment theory and with different things that go with that, I have so many things that I didn't take care of.
4:24
And so many things that tended to be traumatic in my life.
4:31
I had a huge experience when I was 11, something that you know, really changed me and really molded me to who I was and I didn't take care of it.
4:43
And that was a sexual assault.

27 MINS LATER

31:18
