What did that experience teach you about capital, risk, and timing that most people learn much later, if ever they learn?
2:23
Well, when you exit a large company like that, you want to find a qualified buyer.
2:28
And we found the third largest glazing company in North America to buy our company.
2:33
And then post-exit, what you do with the capital and how you structure your life is very important for me.
2:39
I found myself kind of lost.
2:41
I was semi-retired at 25.
2:44
I ended up returning back to college and hiring some really great people to help manage the money and the operations behind the scenes while I was in college.
CJHOST
7:49
That's right.
12:23
Where do you see AI and financial technology and decentralized finance intersecting over the next, say, five to ten years?
12:31
Well, there has to be some good regulations passed in order for AI to enter the finance space.
12:41
But for fintech and decentralized currency, Bitcoin is the future.
12:46
That's for sure.
12:47
We see that happening with the Clarity Act even happening in the United States.
12:50
Even though it didn't pass, it'll get a second chance here soon and continue to move things forward.
12:57
In finance, AI is definitely the future.
15:00
Uh, next thing I want to ask you, sir, is, um, So based on that, do you think technology is going to ultimately make financial opportunity more accessible to ordinary people, like the trade schools, or do you think it will create a new form of gatekeeping?

6:52
So what made you get into local politics?
6:56
for Wyoming.
6:57
We ran for federal office twice.
6:59
So we tried to buy TikTok.
7:02
I put a group of people together that put a bid together.
7:04
We got it to President Trump's desk.
7:06
He sent the tweet out.

16:44
But a bunch of other things that go along with it.
83:51
What of this notion that Chuck Gray's internal polling finds not Steve Freeze, not you, but Christensen second in his poll? Is that poll anywhere near accurate? What do you make of that?
84:09
Well, of this entire election, I think today we end Chuck Gray's career once and for all.
84:16
And regardless of what Chuck's internal polling says, he'll be in fourth place or less.
84:21
His career is over.
84:23
Wyoming can breathe again.
84:25
The Not-So-Freedom Caucus is being eliminated.
84:27
We're taking them out systematically, and that's a good thing for Wyoming.

9 MINS LATER

93:26
I want somebody in D.C. fighting for... federal dollars to fix up Wyoming, and how are we going to do this?
159:59
Or, or, I mean, are we even gonna do that? Are we even gonna, you know, say who's who? Are you Big Tent Republican? Are you anti-Freedom Caucus? Or are you just you, Reid Rasner?
160:10
I'm Reid Rasner.
160:11
Listen, one of my great friends was Craig Thomas.
160:13
He was a true leader in the Senate.
160:15
Um, and I knew him for a long time growing up.
160:17
Um, I am a Reagan Republican.
160:20
I am a conservative fighter.

7 MINS LATER

167:19
I like both those things.

158:46
I highlighted that a little in my story talking about no more fat
158:50
kids.
158:52
Oh, yeah.
158:54
No more fat kids, but we also want to return $1 billion back to the state of Wyoming.
158:58
So we have 50% of our state, 18.7 million acres of Wyoming is managed by the BLM.
159:07
And on that land, there's minerals and resources being mined for, explored, whether it's coal, oil, gas, wind, whatever's happening, there's something being extracted from that property.
159:17
It's over a billion dollars annually, like 1.5 billion.

163:40
Is that worth, I mean, is that stand worth the controversy and the effort right now?
39:25
That's an incredible testament to the way that you are getting across to people who may not necessarily be in the same socioeconomic uh realm or circles
39:34
absolutely so over 5 000 people and i don't know the exact number today but it was over 5 000 last night uh small dollar donations uh 15 20 donations coming in 50 donations things are really picking up as we move closer to the may filing deadline our primary is in august and we're fundraising rapidly uh but we put a tremendous amount of money in so i put a million dollars on the first day the announcement day back in january 7th And I put now, I think, another $750,000 in.
40:04
So as of today, we should be around $1.75, maybe a little under that.
40:08
And we're raising money rapidly.
40:10
So I think we're in the top five for congressional seats around the country as far as funding is concerned.
40:15
We're well-funded.
40:17
We're up on TV.
41:07
Talk a little bit about how those two issues resonate with Wyoming's.
