Reem, what first came to mind when you started to make your work?
0:58
Um, I was thinking about how emotionally charged the, the, the object of the, of a table is.
1:05
Um, it holds so many meanings, and I, I was really interested to see how, uh, each artist, uh, thought about the table.
1:14
So for me, the table is, has this duality of intimacy and brutality at the same time.
1:21
Um, so I was thinking about it, um, in terms of what you put on it.
1:29
Um, so I chose, uh, two other domestic objects that I feel, uh, kind of connected to the table in a way.
1:38
I chose the table fan, the domestic table fan, and the kitchen knives, and, um, I kind of just embedded them together, and I wanted to say, uh, with this work, um, um, how, you know, like, when women go through crisis or just, like, daily life, they kind of, uh, develop their internal economy and their mental tools, and these mental tools, they could be functional for them, but in a way it's, uh, destructive.
3:19
How did you want to subvert that feminine universe?
