I was always very involved in the roster building and recruiting.

I just always loved that part of it.

Even when I was like, I remember being a young junior high school kid, we used to get those old magazines that you look through.

I can't remember what they're called, who all the top recruits are all over the country.

What do you know about them?

In the early days of this, although it goes on year-round, In the early days, what are you and the coaches like, what you're seeing out of the Golden Eagles?

Well, you know, the biggest thing that we, you know, you've heard me say this on here before and I'll harp on it again, like our guys are really working and they're working in a non-selfish way.

Like there's not any entitlement on this football team because we don't have, I mean, really, we've had one or two guys that have ever started a game for Southern Miss.

Very few guys that have ever played in games for Southern Miss.

Like these guys aren't out there thinking, I'm the man.

I'm the guy.

I've earned.

He's kind of a perfect fit for us here at Southern Miss, isn't he?
