Because I know you, as I said, you're an actor when you were a child, you used to work on the CFC short film.

Yeah I was I started pretty young so I think I got my first job when I was like seven or eight so it seems mad to now reflect that I was always going to end up in somewhere within this field but for so many years I sort of pushed against it and didn't want to be a creative but I started pretty young I was like seven I was on a kids TV show for a couple of years and then like 11 or 10 I thought I'm way too cool for this there's no chance I'm running a bit CBBC and then there's sort of like teenage inhibitions getting you like nah I should be you know doing the park with my pals and then basically a new TV show moved back to Scotland and at the time an amazing woman who used to look after me phoned and she was like right there's a show coming back to Scotland it's called Waterloo Road she was like I think you might need to go and audition for it and I was like I mean it's a bit embarrassing isn't it and then I was there for like two years which was probably the kind of most pivotal point in my career because it made me realise that you can live in Scotland, you can work in Scotland, you can earn a great wage, and you can also still be within the telly sector.

So I was on what the road from being 15 right through to like kind of 17.

And then I actually realised during that process that I had to go and learn my craft.

So I went off to drama school, which I loved every minute of it.

And then As I graduated from drama school, I was very, very, very fortunate that I got a 12-month contract before I'd graduated.
