So naturally, you're also studying the flora and fauna that the birds inhabit, right? So for the project that you're working on, Will you mainly be using your skills as a science illustrator or are you using different types of media?
8:01
I use my training as a science illustrator as a jumping off point for the work that I create for myself.
8:08
But also think about what I'm feeling in the moment when I share a moment with that bird.
8:15
And how can that be represented in artwork to share the wonder and the spark of joy you feel when you're out in nature.
8:24
But my project is still very much in the works because with any large scale project, there are different logistical factors to figure out.
8:34
Can I do this? And if so, how can I make this? So I am in the process of drawing about 75 different bird species in flight.
8:46
My list at this moment in time stands at 118 species observed in this location.
11:07
But when I'm listening to you tell me about everything you're working on, all I keep thinking about is how did you get here? So like, have you always had a relationship to birds and nature throughout your life?
