I went through a consultant.

That's what I am today, an adoption consultant.

And after I got through the adoption journey, the phase of bringing, you know, from starting to bringing my baby home, I was in my early 40s, living in Chicago, single, and I kind of became this magnet, not just to other single people, but to people who were trying to adopt and also maybe going through infertility, which I had that story first, which led me to adopt.

I always knew I wanted to be a mom.

And people just started asking me because, you know, some people knew when I started and when it actually happened, which was pretty quick.

And I was very clear on one thing, which was, if you are going to go down the adoption path, you cannot do it alone.
