25:32
Dr. Ray, how do we navigate the onset of this season and what should we be thinking about?
25:38
Well, I think the first thing is to acknowledge it and that the season you're as we get right into this, our immune system is taxed harder than it ever has before.
25:49
We have as everybody goes back to school, we got a transmission of viruses that they haven't seen before.
25:56
And, you know, like I said, after school goes back, set your clock three weeks later.
26:00
And everybody's going to come down with some sort of viral infection.
26:04
So we try to have people acknowledge.
26:08
And there's a couple of there's so many different choices and it's different.
28:57
What, what, what is it? How does it work in comparison to that?
4:14
It's
4:14
therapeutics.
4:14
You've got to match the therapeutics, like I said, for bovine, and be able to rid them of the items that are causing difficulty.
4:25
And so that's what the personalized medication is.
4:27
I mean, your personalized medication is personalized meals when you go out to a restaurant, right? Right, right.
4:33
I don't need this, I don't want this one here.
4:35
I have a certain allergy.
8:46
So share with us some of the other cool and helpful tools that you've developed in your lab for folks with Lyme disease.
21:17
How functional is Washington when it comes to really hearing from people like you on something that is really important?
21:24
You know, it's a really good question.
21:26
When we were up there, it was about 300 of us that have active pharmacies that we do this on an annual basis.
21:34
And we engaged in many members of the House and Senate.
21:38
And one thing that was kind of surprising, it's almost shocking that almost anything ever gets done because this schedule is...
21:51
It's things are can be so slow.
21:55
And I guess I give these the people that work there.
26:40
Dr. Ray, how do we how do we navigate the onset of this season and what should we be thinking about?
53:46
Yeah.
53:46
And there's, there's not a better choice in healthcare than personalized medications and personalized dosing that is specific to the patients and the patient's needs.
53:58
And, you know, it is impossible for a big pharmaceutical company to have literally hundreds of different dosage forms of pharmaceuticals.
54:11
And so, you know, we hope that they can get close for that 80% of the population, but there's a good chance that, uh, different dosage forms can be very, very therapeutic for, uh, patients and different, uh, uh, to help them.
54:29
So that's where this era of personalized medications or compounded medications, and this is not a new concept.
54:37
Pharmacists and physicians and have been doing it since the, the beginning of time.
54:43
Uh, and then somehow it got a little off the rails here that somebody else ki- did- kinda did all the preparation and g- and the compounding and making everything, uh, for patients to, to a third party.

17 MINS LATER

71:40
And there are a lot of really good drugs that they don't make anymore
70:40
Yeah.
70:41
Well, you know, it seems to be so simple.
70:45
You know, we talked about them.
70:47
Everybody knows what amino acids are.
70:49
You know, they're the building blocks of protein.
70:52
They're naturally occurring amino acids.
70:55
When you link them together, they make these peptides and your body sees them as natural substances.
74:35
Is there an argument that is being made that currently unsafe people are peddling them? And if so, what kind of guardrails are you talking about?
45:30
Mm.
45:30
Uh, and the way that it, uh, changes immunity for some people just, just from respiratory i- infections that we've seen.
45:39
And the, the, you know, the data's out there.
45:42
These are just, again, peptides are amino acids that are sequenced together.
45:48
Uh, and in these u- unique combinations, they have a different effect with the body.
45:53
They work in concert with the body, as opposed-
47:43
Mm-hmm.
47:44
Uh, yes, it, it is always have to be concerned.
