Randall, you got a lot here to follow up on, so we're going to pass it over to Randall Parker, Foo.
38:41
Yeah.
38:43
So, again, having worked across all these things for quite a few years, just to amplify some of the things that you all were talking about here, some of the challenges and then some of the things that you can take off the table.
38:58
So first of all, back to the demo that was done, there was a level of autonomy that was prescribed as part of that demo.
39:07
So as you get into the more challenging kill chains, so drones and cruise missiles, right, those you can probably take your time a little bit more with, right? But when you start getting into the really fast things that happen in the whole ballistic side of the house, it's ripe for autonomy.
39:23
It's ripe for, you know, faster than human decision processes, human on the loop, right? So that's ripe there.
39:31
I know we're working on things like that, right? So that's something that can be taken off the table.

So those

Tell us about it and really what the inspiration is behind it, knowing that Hyundai has said it's making this big move into body-on-frame vehicles.
8:44
But first, let me just say that today has been a very exciting day for the Hyundai brand.
8:49
It started at breakfast this morning with IONIQ 6N, winning the World Performance Car of the Year.
8:55
So that's where it all got started.
8:57
And then, of course, we launched the Boulder Concept, which you see out on stage.
9:01
And what a great morning.
9:03
The Boulder Concept is basically our design future of tomorrow.

How has that strategy helped Hyundai right now, given a lot of the evolution we've seen in the market, a lot of changing demand regulation policy that's kind of changing the type of mix that's out there? How does that multiple strategy approach change?
5:16
Do you see that more as a function of marketplace? Is that strategy on Hyundai's part? What's contributing to this kind of shift in this more challenged marketplace in the last 30, 45 days?
5:27
Yeah, that's an excellent question, by the way.
5:30
The market has definitely changed, and it started well before the last 60 days.
5:35
I would say this past year was by far one of the most toughest years that I've experienced in the automotive industry.
5:44
This past year, we had to deal with a lot, a lot of different variables.
5:48
First and foremost, probably the biggest variable that we had to deal with last year were the 25% tariffs.
5:53
And that was a huge hit to our bottom line.

Tell me, what do you see is the most encouraging milepost ahead for 2026 in auto sales?
13:59
Oh, man, that's a really good question.
14:00
You know, for us, it's it's all about growing.
14:03
You know, we've had four consecutive years of growth.
14:05
This is our fifth consecutive year.
14:08
And we're we're on track to achieve our what I call five for five and twenty five, five consecutive years of retail sales growth.
14:15
And 2026 for the Hyundai brand is going to be no different.

Where do you see the electric vehicle market headed in 2026? You saw that September was huge, and then there was a big dip in October once the tax credit ended.
