Tell everybody a little bit more about what you've been up to with that.
5:37
Well, to give you the full background on the story, it started out, I guess, the first week of August.
5:47
So it hasn't been that long.
5:48
We started the first week of August.
5:49
It was actually the week of the Wyndham Championship.
5:52
I was helping the PGA Tour radio team doing the broadcast up there.
5:56
And I had a player named Nate that is a two-handicap, great player.

39:14
But having the guts to stand up as an individual and go with what you've got today can be as important on the upside of the game as it can be on the downside of the game when you've got your C or your D
23:23
Mm.
23:24
But it's about in that moment, this is what my intention is and this is where I'm going and here's where I'm gonna put my attention to hit this shot.
23:31
And I think that's what he was the greatest at.
23:33
And it's, I think that is just, I think people take everything, to your point, of the language.
23:39
They, uh, I think we live in a world both on the performance and psychology side and the, and the physical side of where people wanna use big fancy words now.
23:49
They wanna, they wanna seem like they're smarter than the next guy, and that's how they're gonna get more followers or views on Instagram.
23:56
And I just, I'm gonna go the opposite way.

19 MINS LATER

43:21
What, what, what, what, what's it all about?
13:12
It was a story of, of, of possibility that allowed him to just go out in that second round, get it round in 68 and, and, and make the cut relatively comfortably in the end.
13:23
Well, so, so that's a question I would, to g- to go back to Thursday's round, 'cause it w- 'cause we'll get into what happened, you know, on, on the weekend, 'cause I wanna, I wanna cover some of that.
13:32
'Cause as you and I have talked, we wanna get more into, to the skills a- and what you've put in the, in the Mind Caddie book as well, um, that, that's, that's been doing well.
13:41
I know I've had a, a lot of people ask and, a- and have bought it, and, uh, they're loving it.
13:46
But go back to that Thursday round of what could help folks, um, at every level.
13:52
Um, so, so he didn't have the round that he was looking for on Thursday.
13:57
Um, he's in 85th place going into Friday morning.

45 MINS LATER

59:06
But if you're really kind of serious about seeing what you could achieve with your game, what, what, what's that all about?
24:26
Yeah.
24:26
And I see so many players go down that rabbit hole at every level.
24:30
Um, I'll throw...
24:32
Hell, I'll throw half of the tour in on that one right now.
24:35
Um, I see just as much-- I see just as many technique, um, overly, overly trying to, to golf swing their game.
24:46
Um, a lot of technique work.
24:48
Um, overuse of, of training aids, which quite honestly I'm not a huge fan of at all.

31 MINS LATER

56:21
[laughs]
27:54
And now he caddies for Jackson Harrington.
27:58
Yeah, so I'll give you, we can talk about Augusta in a second, but I'll give you some Derek stories of where Derek's travels have taken him, which is he's starting to go down the same path that I did, actually.
28:12
I started working with Derek.
28:13
It was funny.
28:14
I actually caddied for him, I guess, two years after he won the Wells Fargo.
28:19
So you've got your past champion status with that.
28:23
And so he was warming up.

19 MINS LATER

47:24
It's just incredible how that property does that to players, isn't it? It's...
