I was seeking a job and David obviously had a job in his lab.

I distinctly remember the first day I interviewed for this first of my many positions with David as a research technician.

I had prior interviews with other PIs and these were nerve wracking.

So I expected a similar experience walking into David's office.

Even though he's a celebrated scientist, he has this personality that puts people at ease.

What skills have you transferred into your own practices as a mentor now and as somebody who people look to for mentorship?
