But... version of hell is the one that froze you know the corpse rose and nobody showed up to his funeral he's buried and it's that scene is so incredible because nobody showed up not even mogo
22:02
but what's great about what's great about that is that it's basically showing John that this is a sacrifice.
22:10
How made to be the green lantern.
22:13
He put all his relationships aside.
22:16
And this show is ultimately about protecting your loved ones.
22:20
Like that's the whole point of every character's motivation is protecting their loved ones.
22:25
The, the, the, the funeral is so sad that it just shows john everything that hal gave up um when they were walking through the tunnel with the giant drill construct um hal says like his dad died on his own terms a hero that hit john then also it's mentioned that um in the car that hal says like you have to sever all ties with everybody to protect them and so all of this stuff that hal's been like sacrificing all came to a head in john's mind at the funeral when he's reading hal's words and i know it's sort of played for laughs but it's also sad hal saying you know mr mr president first lady dignitaries uh the green lantern court like he's house picturing this funeral that he died a hero and everybody showed up and i think that just shows john like hey listen this guy uh actually sacrificed a lot for for this this this power um
