Uh, uh, but what, why did you transition from sports journalism into main-

Um, that's a good question.

Um, I knew early on, obviously, since I was seven years old, I wanted to be a journalist.

I wanted to go into sports because it's just of great interest to me.

I love it.

Um, but as I started developing as a, as a teenager and then as a young man, I realized the n- the overwhelming majority of people covering sports were just about the bottom line, the score, the statistics, and I thought, "Gosh, that's just, that doesn't seem interesting to me." I could tell you a World Cup score.

I could tell you a so- you know, a, a baseball score, but when I was doing sports full time, that was the last thing I cared about.
