They are used at Newark Airport and Port Authority and big civic projects.

And we were able to determine that one gallon of alchemist paint absorbs as much carbon dioxide as nine trees in one day while drying.

Wow.

So again, there are all these things that we like to talk about, all these factors that contribute to it being a wellness paint.

Obviously, we talked about it being breathable, well-suited for allergy sufferers, immunocompromised people.

I was really lucky.

When I was really little, I lived close to a museum, and I, when I was in a stroller, I would get my grandmother to take me over there to the museum.

So art was very influential, and then I was very lucky to go to the Rhode Island School of Design, to Parsons School of Design.

So I really worked in art and design for, professionally, for almost 30 years.

Uh, and then the, the genesis of Alchemist was that Maya and I had become friends.

Yeah.

[laughs] And she-

Yeah.

And then so basically my background is...

I mean, I grew up in Texas.

I grew up spending a lot of time on my family ranch.

I grew up very, very, very connected to nature, very connected to animals, like, you know, the plants, everything.

Um, and so since a young child, like, I always was very, um, you know, just drawn to being, you know, having that, like, innate connection with nature.
