Prashna Upanishad

It is intimately connected to the very fact of being alive.

One fascinating text is the Prashna Upanishad.

Prashna means question.

The text is structured around six students approaching a sage named Pipalada and asking fundamental questions about reality and life.

So he says, "My God, I was taking it all so casually." So he go- gets up and he randomly, just to read something from Sri Aurobindo to relieve himself, picks, picks out the book and randomly picks out the Upanishads, uh, commentaries on the Upanishads.

So Prashnopanishad has this description, Nadiyek shatay, um, cheka, that there are 100 knots through which the heart strings are tied to the soul, and it is this pain which is experienced at the time of death.

So how to get rid of it? Be detached during life.
